Hi, I’m Dee.

A little about me, and how Finding Space began.

I’m Dee, the founder and host of Finding Space.

After multiple pregnancy losses and years of fertility treatment, I didn’t get to bring home the baby I had hoped for. Instead, I’ve been trying to come to terms with a life that looks very different to the one I had imagined, and that hasn’t always been easy.

There were times when I felt lost, unsure of how to process what had happened or even how to talk about it. I hadn’t understood how much pregnancy loss could affect every part of your life until I experienced it myself.

I started the podcast because I wanted to talk openly about these experiences, in the hope that sharing mine might help someone else feel less alone.

What started with one story, my own, has grown into a wonderful community. I’ve been so lucky to speak with so many people who have trusted me with their stories, as well as professionals sharing information and support.

Finding Space has also brought people together through events and meet-ups, and opened up conversations about fertility and pregnancy loss in workplaces.

My hope is to keep creating spaces where people feel comfortable sharing, asking questions or simply being with others who understand.

Because no one should have to feel alone in what they’re going through.

Whether you’re experiencing infertility, grieving a loss, coming to terms with childlessness or looking to support someone you care about, I hope you find something here that helps.

Thank you for being here.
