YOUR PRIVACY

Privacy & Cookies

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Your experience is personal. This notice explains how information shared through Finding Space is handled.

Who looks after your information?

Dee Kelly, operating Finding Space in Ireland, is responsible for personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email findingspacedk@gmail.com.

Contact enquiries

The contact form collects your name, email address, enquiry type, message and consent choice. This information is used to read and answer your enquiry and manage any resulting conversation or booking. The basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries; where you ask about booking a service, it may also be necessary to take steps towards a contract at your request. Contact details are not automatically added to a marketing list. Please avoid sending medical records or unnecessary sensitive details through the contact form.

Sharing your story

The story form asks for your story, an optional title and your permission choices. It does not ask for your name or email. Please leave out names, workplaces, exact dates, locations and other details that could identify you or anyone else. A story can still be identifiable from its details even without a name.

Stories may contain health or other sensitive personal information. We ask for your explicit consent to store and read this information for the purpose of reviewing your submission. Permission to publish is a separate choice. Saying no to publication means your story will not be published. Nothing is published automatically.

If you choose to allow publication, Dee will review the story before deciding whether to share it anonymously on this website. Publication makes it available to the public, and other people may copy it. Consent to website publication does not give permission to reuse your story in a podcast, social post or other channel.

You can ask to withdraw consent or remove a story by emailing the address above. As the form does not collect contact details, please include its title, approximate submission date or a short distinctive extract so it can be found. We may need enough information to verify a request. Withdrawal does not undo processing already carried out lawfully. We can remove content we control, but cannot guarantee removal of copies held by others.

Storage and service providers

Form submissions are stored through Squarespace and reviewed by Dee. Squarespace hosts this website and provides its form tools. Email correspondence is handled through Gmail. These providers may process information outside the European Economic Area using the transfer arrangements described in their terms and privacy information. Access is limited to those who need it to provide these services or handle your request. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Read Squarespace’s Privacy Policy, its Data Processing Addendum and Google’s Privacy Policy for details of their processing and safeguards.

How long information is kept

Enquiries are kept while the conversation or booking is active and afterwards only where needed for related follow-up, records or legal obligations. Unpublished stories are kept only while needed for review and the permission you have given. Published stories are retained while they remain part of the story collection and permission remains in place. Consent records may be kept to demonstrate the choices made. The need to retain information is assessed by its purpose, whether the matter is complete and any applicable legal requirement; information no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised.

Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or, where applicable, portability of your information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. These rights have legal limits. Providing information is voluntary, but without the necessary contact details we may be unable to answer an enquiry, and without processing consent we cannot accept a story containing sensitive information. We do not use submissions for automated decisions or profiling.

Contact findingspacedk@gmail.com to make a request. You can also complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.

Cookies and website information

Squarespace uses essential cookies to keep the website working and secure. Optional analytics cookies can help measure visits and how pages are used. Where optional cookies are offered, you can accept or reject them using the cookie banner and change your choice using cookie preferences. Essential cookies remain available. Your browser settings can also remove or block cookies, although some website functions may be affected.

Squarespace may process technical information such as IP address, browser, device and page activity to operate and protect its service. See its privacy information above. Links to podcast platforms, support organisations, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn take you to separate services with their own privacy and cookie policies.
